Edward J. Kelty was an avid photographer of circuses and more importantly, the groups of people with those circuses. Many of his photographs are taken on the east coast with his offices in New York. He would be at the showgrounds early to take his photographs, then develop and print them in his truck in order to sell his prints to the showfolks before they packed up and moved on. Most of his photos are 12″ tall and 20″ long.
