Building Preservations

The Circus Hall of Fame, Inc. is in an incredible location, existing in the five remaining structures that were built by the American Circus Corporation 100 years ago. The history is amazing on these grounds and inside these buildings. We still have so much to learn from them.

Unfortunately, the toil of 100 years on wooden barns keeps us repairing and replacing faster than we can improve. We were hit by devastating wind storms three times in 2022. These storms took out a total of 10 windows out of the 26 windows on the western side of the Museum Barn. We have already Purchased 26 all new wooden windows to replace the rotted-out ones there already. It takes labor and new lumber t make all new window frames to install these new windows.

While the upper portion of the roof was all replaced two years ago, the wing’s roofs of the barn both need to be replaced from one end to the other. The flat roof design has allowed for water to puddle, leak through and rot the boards underneath in many places. In two places the rains simply pour through the roof.

Anyone is welcome to volunteer at the Circus Hall of Fame. Those with carpentry skills are always needed as there is always something to be worked on. We realize most people can’t come to Peru, Indiana to help. We have set-up a PayPal link where you can donate any amount to help with the Buildings. This donation is going to the Circus Hall of Fame, Inc. a 501c3 Non-Profit. That should make your donation, tax-deductible.

We understand some folks don’t use a computer for payments. Your check or Money order to help, may be made out to the Circus Hall of Fame and mailed to 3076 E. Circus Lane, Peru, IN. 46970
