1918 – Hagenbeck-Wallace Circus

An empty troop train crashed into the second section of show train at Ivanhoe, Indiana, killing 75 and injuring 150 persons. Hammond, Indiana and Monroe, Wisconsin stands were lost.

On December 28, 1918, Jerry Mugivan and Bert Bowers bought the Hagenbeck-Wallace Circus at a receiver’s sale in the West Baden winter quarters.
