1911 – Sanger’s Great European Circus

Jerry Mugivan and Bert Bowers had purchased the former Dode Fisk Shows in 1910. It was a small 10 car circus. It was re-named Sanger’s Great European Circus in 1911.

Vassar Pioneer Times

    •  advertisement for Sangers Combined Shows stated the show would play Vassar, Michigan on Saturday, July 22, 1911, not July 20th as listed above. In the following week’s paper, there was a story about how there had been a problem with some financial transactions taking place at the show. Apparently more than one person claimed that they had not received correct change. – Information provided by Robert McKay.
